FIRE SPRINKLER INSPECTION: fire sprinkler inspections are broken into in 5 types of inspections : Annual, quarterly, semi annual , monthly and 5 years.
annual fire sprinkler inspection:
NFPA25 REQuires a FIRE SPRINKLER annual inspection of the fire sprinkler heads, inspector must look out for damage, corrosion, PAINT, leakage, incorrect of sprinklers heads, missing sprinklers or components and proper clearance between the sprinkler heads and any objects. also check for build up dust or sediment on sprinklers HEADS, THE FIRE SPRINKLER INSPECTOR NEED TO MAKE SURE there is spare fire sprinkler heads on the spare box, hydraulic calculation plate must be attached to the riser and visible. Inspect fire department connection ( fdc ) for physical damage or leaks. a FDC SIGN MUST BE ABOVE THE FDC FOR QUICK IDENTIFICATION FREE OF PAINT, OBSTRUCTION OR DAMAGE.AND A FLL SYSTEM TEST SHOULD BE PERFORM.
quarterly inspection :
THE FIRE SPRINKLER INSPECTOR MUST inspect AND TEST waterflow switCHes flowing water with the inspector test valve. inspect tampers in the open and closed position and verify signals A SUPERVISION SIGNAL AT THE FIRE CONTROL PANEL (FACP). FDC MUST BE CHECK FOR DAMAGE, OBSTRUCTION AND MISSING CAPS. FDC SIGNAGE MUST BE CLEAR OF PAINT AND VISIBLE.
MONTHlY INSPECTIONS: INSPECT GAUGES FOR WET SYSTEMS
5 YEARS INSPECTION:
